Spr!ng T!me Beg!ns...

What to blog about? Hmmm... I told myself that I would blog at least once every two weeks, and I've realized it is harder than I thought it would be. I do not have enough going on in my life to always find things to blog about. But I will do my best, so here it goes.

Well this past week we had the pleasure of having Preston (Brandon's step-brother) stay at our house. Brandon really enjoys his visits, especially during this time while Brandon is not allowed to work. So for Brandon to be able to have fun while being limited from many things, makes me feel more at ease knowing he is happy. He did start physio about a week or so ago, also currently walking with only one crutch and putting weight on. The recovery process is slowing moving.

April 6th was Patrick's (Brandon's step-dad) birthday. We all drove into Lethbridge for a quick bit to eat, movie, and dessert. Patrick chose to eat at 5 Guys-Burger's & Fries...which was actually quite tasty. Try it out sometime! After grabbing some food we hit up the movie, "HOP." Such a cute show! and funny too! By the time the movie ended we were all in need of some birthday dessert at Mr.Mike's. Patrick's birthday turned out to be quite a fun-filled night.

Jaxton James is now rolling over! Scary thing is...he's almost got crawling down pat as well. Move, move, move is what he loves to do. We've also started giving him rice cereal. The first time trying it out, he took it like he'd been eating for a while now. Jax would even giggle every time he took a spoonful. Cutest thing ever!

Dressed him up all goofy for his first eating of rice cereal

He loves to stand on his own

Yesterday Brandon, Jax, and I were just about to load up the truck to go to church. Brandon went out first to open to door for me and such. While I was coming out of the house with Jax, Brandon says, "Oh, no." Of course my natural response is to panic a bit. Turns out there was a MOUSE in our truck. What was this mouse doing?... Sleeping. In the sunlight. Soaking it all in. All I could think was, " OH MY WORD!! EWWWW! Don't cry Lexie. Don't cry." Brandon wanted me to help him scare it out. Umm...yeah, that definitely was not going to happen. I am TERRIFIED of mice. Go ahead, mock me. I do not care. I will admit that tears formed in my eyes when he asked me to open the other door so the mouse would hopefully just run itself out. Anyways, we -as in Brandon- tried multiple times to get that darn thing out, but every time the little rodent heard a noise it would run somewhere and hide. So by the time we went to church, came back, went to dinner at my parents, came back again...the NASTY thing...got suckered into a mouse trap! How that mouse got in there?...I do not know. And I do not know if I will ever be able to ride in there again...or at least for a while.

Our little surprise!
